Snowbird Agility CEO Sharon Hinde-Grimm is among 28 honorees for this year’s Department of Veterans Affairs Center for Women Veterans (CWV) Trailblazers award. This annual “Women Veterans Forging a Path” iinitiative recognizes women who make significant impacts through leadership, advocacy, and service in their communities. The prestigious, bi-annual program recognizes women who have served and separated from military service, and are making significant impacts on the lives of Veterans, their families, or caregivers.
“The Trailblazer campaign is more than just recognition—it’s a powerful medium to share the unique experiences and contributions of women Veterans,” according to the CWV. “The stories shared through this initiative shine a light on how their military service has paved the way for continued leadership and advocacy within their communities.” Trailblazers embody leadership in areas including education, employment, homelessness, legal assistance, mental health and awareness, research, violence against women, and entrepreneurship. In addition to recognition for impact, the Trailblazers initiative fosters visibility, support and a sense of community for women Veterans.
Early in her career, Hinde-Grimm served as an Intelligence Analyst with the US Army, and also as an Ombudsman with the US Navy, focusing on social services and supporting military families. After more than a decade working in digital transformation as an Agile Change Agent and Director of Agile Lifecylce Management for firms including BAE Systems, she founded Snowbird Agility in 2019. Snowbird’s mission is to utilize digital services solutions to enable teams and empower leaders to maximize efficiency, transforming organizations by following Lean-Agile practices.
“What we do is about more than changing process, it is about changing culture,” Hinde-Grimm said. “We help ensure each employee feels valued and what they are working on is valuable.”
In addition to her passion for working with government institutions and entities, Hinde-Grimm is an advocate for small businesses and their critical role in the US economy, driving innovation, creating jobs, providing critical goods and services, fostering community and helping to narrow the income and wealth gap. She hopes her entrepreneurial journey will inspire other Veterans.
“I am honored and humbled to be recognized among so many female leaders who are advancing important initiatives to serve communities nationwide,” she added.
